The platform reinforces the role of infrastructure as a pillar of fast and secure credit in Brazil
São Paulo, December 2025 – QI Tech, a leader in financial services infrastructure and the only Latin American company to achieve unicorn status since 2024, has reached a significant milestone in Brazil’s credit market. The company has already processed more than BRL 57 billion in credit transactions originated by its partners this year, involving 21.2 million unique CPF numbers, equivalent to 20% of the country’s economically active population (EAP). In other words, one in every five working-age Brazilians has already accessed a financial product powered by QI Tech’s technology.
This growth is driven by the fintech’s as a Service model, which provides a complete credit infrastructure through APIs, covering the entire journey from origination to formalization. Its solutions include digital onboarding, a credit decision engine, the issuance of CCBs (Cédulas de Crédito Bancário), electronic signatures, collections management, fund transfers, and the participation of its own DTVM (Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários) in the structuring and administration of FIDCs (Fundos de Investimento em Direitos Creditórios).
This ecosystem enables companies to launch financial products within a few weeks, with integrated governance, compliance, and controls, without having to become financial institutions and while relying on a single infrastructure provider.
One of the highlights of QI Tech’s credit issuance portfolio is private-sector payroll lending for employees under Brazil’s CLT employment regime, also known as workers’ payroll-deductible credit, which generated BRL 360 million in transactions in just over five months. The company’s portfolio also includes BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later), unsecured credit, FGTS-backed credit, and INSS payroll loans, reinforcing QI Tech’s ability to structure customized transactions for different client profiles.
As one of the leading pillars of Embedded Finance in Brazil, QI Tech enables companies to incorporate financial services directly into their user journeys. Under this model, credit is no longer a separate product and becomes part of the consumer experience, increasing engagement, customer loyalty, and recurring revenue generation.
Globally, the Embedded Finance market is expected to exceed USD 183 billion in transaction value by 2027, according to Juniper Research. In Brazil, 36% of consumers already use financial products outside traditional banks, according to PwC. A Money Times study also indicates that, although banks currently account for 76% of the credit market, their share could fall to 32% by 2039 as credit migrates to fintechs, platforms, and distributed models.
This scenario reinforces the view that the future of credit will be decentralized, digital, and integrated into consumer journeys. Companies capable of embedding financial services with speed and scale will gain a competitive advantage, and this is precisely the transformation that QI Tech enables for its clients.
By democratizing access to credit, the company allows businesses across different industries to turn their customer bases into growth drivers, offering credit quickly, securely, and at more competitive costs. This dynamic expands access across Brazil and particularly benefits groups that have historically been underserved by the traditional banking system.
The macroeconomic environment also supports this expansion. Broad credit to Brazilian households has already exceeded BRL 4.5 trillion, representing an 11.4% increase over 12 months, according to the Central Bank of Brazil. Specifically regarding private-sector payroll lending, XP Investimentos estimates that the product could add up to 0.6 percentage points to Brazil’s GDP in 2025, either by replacing more expensive debt or enabling new credit agreements.
The result reinforces the view that the era of fast and secure credit depends on robust technological infrastructure. Acting as the engine behind financial institutions and major retailers, QI Tech enables its clients to offer credit quickly, securely, and in full compliance with Central Bank regulations.
According to Pedro Mac Dowel, CEO and founder of QI Tech, the milestone reflects not only the scale and reliability of the platform, which can process millions of data points and transactions while maintaining compliance and fraud prevention controls, but also the social impact of its technology.
“Our impact is not only financial; it is also demographic. By reaching 20% of Brazil’s economically active population, QI Tech is at the center of the movement to promote inclusion and democratize access to credit in Brazil. These 21 million CPF numbers represent individuals who often seek less bureaucratic access to financial services. Our AI-first credit technology enables our partners to analyze and serve these individuals more accurately and fairly,” said the executive.
With scalable infrastructure and a strong focus on innovation, QI Tech is consolidating its leading role in modernizing and expanding access to credit in Brazil.
