QI Tech raises an additional US$63 million through an extension of its Series B round
QI Tech has raised US$63 million through an extension of its Series B round, further strengthening its growth trajectory in the financial technology market.
The additional investment brings the total amount raised in the Series B round to US$313 million, including the US$200 million raised in October 2023 and the US$50 million raised in April 2024. The round was led by investment firm General Atlantic, which also participated in the company’s previous funding rounds.
The investment will be directed toward expanding QI Tech’s portfolio of fintech products and services, strengthening its regulatory, compliance, and governance capabilities, and pursuing strategic acquisitions that accelerate its consolidation in the financial infrastructure market.
QI Tech operates as a Banking as a Service (BaaS) provider, offering corporate financial infrastructure — including account opening, bank slip issuance, and credit analysis — to companies of different sizes and across multiple industries.
With more than 300 clients — ranging from startups to major companies such as 99Pay, Vivo Money, and Banco BV — the fintech positions itself as a strategic partner for platforms seeking to embed financial services into their operations.
Against a global backdrop of cautious investment in technology, this Series B extension demonstrates international investors’ confidence in Brazilian companies focused on financial infrastructure.
With this additional financial backing, QI Tech reaffirms its ambition to lead Brazil’s fintech infrastructure market, expanding its capacity for innovation and its ability to compete in a highly demanding regulatory environment.
