QI Tech became the first fintech to receive authorization to operate as a securities distribution company, known in Brazil as a DTVM (Distribuidora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários). This milestone represents a significant step in the company’s journey to simplify and accelerate the financial market through technology. Since its founding in 2018, when it obtained a license to operate as a Direct Credit Society (Sociedade de Crédito Direto — SCD), QI Tech has provided digital infrastructure to companies and investment funds.
With the new license obtained in 2023, the company became authorized to provide asset administration and custody services, completing its financial services ecosystem.
At the time, the fintech was issuing an average of BRL 600 million in credit per month and expected BRL 10 billion to be processed through its platform by the end of 2023. QI Tech intermediates the entire credit process, from credit analysis to the assignment of receivables to investment funds, facilitating operations for more than 300 startups and other nonfinancial companies.
QI Tech’s new DTVM is expected to provide greater flexibility and efficiency in asset administration and custody, with transactions that can be settled on the same day and without time restrictions.
QI Tech’s future plans include launching new products, such as Investment as a Service for investment advisers, as well as foreign exchange solutions for international remittances and payments. The company is also considering offering a cross-border BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) solution that would allow customers to make international purchases and pay for them in installments denominated in Brazilian reais.
Through these innovations, QI Tech aims to continue expanding and accelerate its growth, projecting a 15% increase in revenue and BRL 10 billion in assets under administration by the end of 2023.
