QI Tech acquires 100% of Autobanking and expands into the automotive credit market

Transaction accelerates QI Tech’s entry into the vehicle financing segment, integrating the new solution portfolio into its Credit as a Service business unit

QI Tech, a leading financial services infrastructure provider, announces the acquisition of 100% of Autobanking, a technology platform specialized in the automotive financing market. The transaction marks the company’s official entry into a sector that generated BRL 283.4 billion in disbursements throughout 2025, representing an average of BRL 24 billion in monthly credit originations in Brazil, according to data from the Central Bank of Brazil. This credit category is growing faster than the overall average across other credit products. With the transaction, QI Tech aims to become one of the ten leading companies by market share in the segment.

Autobanking was founded in 2023 and currently serves more than 80 companies, which together represent more than 1,000 vehicle stores across Brazil. As part of the transaction, the platform’s founders, Fredy Evangelista and Heitor Orletti, will become shareholders of QI Tech. With annual revenue of approximately BRL 50 million, QI Tech’s goal is to increase this figure to around BRL 300 million within 12 months. In the long term, the company estimates that this new automotive vertical could represent between 10% and 20% of its total revenue.

QI Tech’s entry into the sector comes at a time of strong growth. The total outstanding vehicle financing portfolio ended last year at BRL 544.4 billion, up 12% from BRL 486.2 billion in 2024. This growth outpaced the expansion of total credit in Brazil’s National Financial System (SFN), which increased by 10.2% over the same period.

The acquired platform operates in an integrated manner with the systems used by vehicle stores and dealerships, acting directly at the point of sale to capture demand at the moment a vehicle is purchased. QI Tech’s goal is to reduce financing approval times from days to just a few minutes.

According to Pedro Mac Dowell, founder and CEO of QI Tech, the segment represents a highly relevant distribution channel, considering that financing accounts for approximately 50% of new vehicle sales and 25% of used vehicle sales in Brazil. “Entering the automotive sector is essential for the company to sustain annual growth above 50% over the coming years. Our challenge today is no longer to grow within the markets where we already operate, but to find new markets large enough for the company to continue expanding at this pace,” he says.

With this move, QI Tech aims to transform a market that is currently highly concentrated among large banks and traditional financial institutions. The company will connect dealerships directly to the investment market, enabling financing operations through Credit Rights Investment Funds (FIDCs) and other securitization vehicles. This decentralizes the ecosystem, increases funding efficiency and gives vehicle sellers greater autonomy to offer credit directly. “We do not want to be a vehicle financing bank. We want to be the infrastructure that connects those who originate credit with those who want to finance it,” says Mac Dowell.

Following the acquisition, the company also sees additional market opportunities, including offering credit lines that allow dealerships to use their own vehicle inventories as collateral for working capital, as well as providing secured lending solutions.

Autobanking’s platform was designed to optimize the financing experience directly at the point of sale, giving vehicle stores and dealerships greater operational control and visibility into the financial health of their customer portfolios. “The integration with QI Tech’s regulatory and technological infrastructure expands our ability to meet market demands. Partners will have access to robust tools to integrate financing solutions into the sales process, supporting the growth of their commercial operations,” explained Fredy Evangelista, founder and Executive Director of Autobanking.

For Heitor Orletti, founder and Operations Director of Autobanking, the companies’ synergy in developing technological solutions and their shared focus on improving operating margin efficiency were decisive factors in completing the transaction. “Autobanking and QI Tech have highly synergistic work cultures, as well as technological infrastructure that enables operational efficiency and helps ensure the sustainability of the businesses. This synergy provides greater agility in product delivery and legal certainty throughout the entire automotive financing contracting cycle,” Orletti concluded.

Following the acquisition of Autobanking, QI Tech positions itself as a major infrastructure provider for the automotive sector, democratizing access to financial resources and optimizing the generation of new assets. The company’s technology model gives the operation nationwide scalability and sustainably accelerates its expansion strategy across Brazil.
