QI Tech issues its first CCB and begins its journey in the financial market

In March 2019, just a few months after beginning operations, QI Tech issued its first Bank Credit Note (Cédula de Crédito Bancário – CCB), marking one of the company’s first steps in building its infrastructure for the credit market.

QI Tech had begun operations in December 2018, when it also became Brazil’s first Direct Credit Society (Sociedade de Crédito Direto – SCD) authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil. This authorization enabled QI Tech to operate as a regulated financial institution and develop technology infrastructure for credit operations.

The CCB in the credit journey

A Bank Credit Note is one of the instruments used to formalize credit transactions in Brazil. Within QI Tech’s infrastructure, CCB issuance became part of a broader journey that combines technology and regulatory capabilities to enable digital credit operations.

Today, QI Tech’s platform supports scalable CCB issuance, including through APIs, connecting the instrument to different credit products and other stages of the credit journey. QI Tech’s English-language technical documentation uses “Bank Credit Note” as the translation for Cédula de Crédito Bancário.

An early milestone in QI Tech’s journey

The issuance of its first CCB represented an important milestone in QI Tech’s early history and continued the journey that began with its SCD authorization.

From there, the company advanced in building credit infrastructure integrated with Brazil’s National Financial System, laying the foundation for the expansion of its solutions and for supporting companies in the development of financial products.
