In May 2020, QI Tech took another step in expanding its financial services infrastructure with the launch of its Banking as a Service (BaaS) solution and the issuance of its first bank payment slip (boleto bancário).
The launch came just over a year after the company began operations. QI Tech started operating in December 2018, when it also became Brazil’s first Direct Credit Society (Sociedade de Crédito Direto – SCD) authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil.
A new financial infrastructure offering
Through Banking as a Service, QI Tech expanded its ability to support companies seeking to embed financial and banking services directly into their own customer journeys, using specialized technological and regulatory infrastructure.
The model enables companies to create integrated financial experiences without having to build an entire banking infrastructure from scratch. Today, QI Tech’s BaaS infrastructure includes digital accounts, payments, Brazilian bank payment slips, Pix, transfers, and cards.
The first bank payment slip
The issuance of its first bank payment slip represented an important stage in the evolution of QI Tech’s platform and the expansion of the financial capabilities it provided.
The milestone reinforced the company’s strategy of building a complete financial services infrastructure, combining technology and regulatory capabilities so companies could develop customized financial products.
